Kristen Bell to play STAR WARS geek
This news is going to have geeks spontaneously jizzing all over the insides of their plastic Stormtrooper costumes. Kristen Bell (”Veronica Mars”) has signed on to play a STAR WARS geek on a cross-country trip to Skywalker Ranch in the upcoming Weinstein Co. comedy “Fanboys.”
Kyle Newman would make his feature directing debut on the project from screenwriters Adam F. Goldberg and Ernest Kline. The plot has something to do with a group of geeks who take a cross-country trip at the request of a dying friend. Their destination? George Lucas’ Skywalker Ranch. Their mission? To see “Star Wars: Episode I — The Phantom Menace.” Their reaction? Disappointment, we suspect.

I just realized the Kristen Bell is in one of my favorite movies: POOTIE TANG. She plays the girl at the end who Pootie has to use his powers on. It’s actually during the credits sequence. I had to look twice, because Kristen is pretty young and still has a face softened by baby fat - in an awesome way. But it is, indeed, her. One more reason to watch the greatness that is POOTIE TANG. Sa da tay, my dabies!
