Weekend Box-office > Vaughniston slays Mutants

Defying ALL predictions, Jennifer Aniston and Vince Vaughn nabbed the #1 slot this weekend with their comedy The Breakup. This is the biggest ever summer opening for a romantic comedy. X-MEN 3 dropped a huge 67%, the biggest ever drop for a Memorial Day weekend opening. This just goes to show you that there are comic book geeks and celebrity gossip geeks. The celebrity gossip geeks turned out this weekend to see a movie that wasn’t well-reviewed and honestly doesn’t look that great. But it’s been the subject of so many tabloid and gossip-site stories that people had to see if the Vaughniston chemistry was for real. Whatever the reason, audiences really turned out for this one.
