Michelle Rodriguez has already told the press that she likes jail, so maybe it’s not that big a deal that she’s going back behind bars - for 60 days! Apparently, the former LOST star violated probation.

Here’s the scoop from tmz.com:

Rodriguez was arrested in December on suspicion of drunk driving in Honolulu. That came six months after she pleaded no contest in Los Angeles to hit and run, drunken driving, and driving with a suspended license. She was placed on probation for the LA incident.

Though Rodriguez was sentenced to five days in jail for the Hawaii charge — opting for jail time instead of community service — that incident nevertheless violated her California probation, resulting in today’s jail time. In addition to the 60-day sentence, Rodriguez also was ordered to check herself into an alcohol rehab program and perform 30 days of community service, including participating in programs run by Mothers Against Drunk Driving.

Rodriguez’ probation will continue through June 2009. Maybe it’s time for a modern day women in prison flick!

If you’re a regular LOST viewer you no doubt were thrilled to see Michelle Rodriguez’ character go out with a bang last week. Of course, we already told you she had been fired from the show. Her bad reputation on-set combined with the fact that she was easily the most hated character on any hit television show, can’t bode well for her future. Now she has been talking to Contact Music about how cool the time she spent in jail was…

It was so cool. I love people, and it was a primal crew. The only thing that keeps them going is fighting for salt and making dice out of soap.

It was an amazing experience. I wouldn’t take it back for anything.

I have a really good belief in destiny. It’s, like, if I’m gonna be killed in there, I’m gonna be killed in there. But people were cool.

I represent the people, you know what I mean? If somebody picks on me, they’ll get what’s coming. I didn’t have to handle myself is what I’m saying. I had love in there. People got where I’m coming from.

Yeah, yeah, we know… you’re tough. You’re “real.” You’re “street.” Whatever. It will be interesting to see what kind of role Rodriguez lands next.

Michelle Rodriguez, the actress who never smiles, is getting fired from LOST according to US Weekly. The firing is due to her diva-like behavior and tendency to use Hawaii as her own private drunken bumper car ride.

US Weekly quotes an “insider”: “The producers are fed up with the fact that she barely shows up on the set and is always in a bad mood. They said she was getting killed off as soon as they could write it in.”

If you ask me, this isn’t a bad move. The cast is already overcrowded and the storylines are feeling kind of aimless. Killing off “major” castmembers in bloody ways can only help the show. Plus, she really hasn’t done anything since her arrival but sit on the beach and make friends with a dog. Most importantly, this will free her up for a possible sequel to BLUE CRUSH!
