Let me set the scene: Britney is at the mall with her boyfriend Adnan Ghalib. Mall-rat teenagers are trailing them, texting each other with their phones. They can’t believe they’re seeing Britney Spears. Then Britney heads into a Betsey Johnson boutique to try on some clothes. This shouldn’t come as a huge surprise to anyone who has been following the sordid white trash saga, but Britney Spears has filed for divorce from K-Fed (Kevin Federline). Britney has seen her career and reputation (not to mention her body) go down the tubes since hooking up with this joker, so it’s really about damn time.

Here’s the scoop from News of the World:

The heavily pregnant former pop princess is probably thinking about her forthcoming divorce battle with hubby Kevin Federline.

We can reveal that Brits, 24, has already signed preliminary divorce papers after a long series of furious bust-ups with him.

A source close to the singer, who is five-months pregnant said: “Britney has already started seeing lawyers about splitting with Kevin.

“She is serious about it and even though she’s pregnant she knows that she has to get things moving.

“It’s a very stressful time for her at the moment what with expecting her second baby.”

I am REALLY feeling sorry for little Sean Preston Federline. This kid is in serious danger. First off, Britney has already been spotted driving with him in her lap, and slumped over in a carseat in the back of a convertible. Now, she has been photographed dropping the poor kid. As if he wasn’t already screwed up encough having Britney and K-Fed for parents. Now his mom is out to kill his ass. If you look close at these pics, you will notice that Britney doesn’t spill a drop of her drink while her baby is about to kiss pavement.

According to Entertainmentwise.com, Britney Spears really is desparate to make a movie with George Clooney. “I’d like to do something with George Clooney. He’s pretty cute, but don’t tell my husband.”

Spears continued her addled stream-of-consciousness fantasyland rambling by saying:”Yes (I would go nude). And I’d love to play a superhero. That would be really cool.”

Too bad nobody made a naked superhero movie with her when she looked like this…

And we’re not just talking about her fashion sense as exhibited in this picture of Britney and Kevin Federline arriving at a pre-Grammy party. Britney is starting to look like she would be right at home in a John Waters film while Kevin still looks like my crank dealer on a night out to a strip joint.

You no doubt remember that Britney has been driving around with her baby on her lap. Now the L.A. County Sherrif’s Department has announced that they are going to investigate the incident. Reportedly, a deputy has already visited Spears’ house to get the necessary contact information for the investigation.

America’s favorite white trash celebrity mom apparently doesn’t believe in car seats.

Spears explains her actions in an exclusive statement to People magazine:

“Today I had a horrifying, frightful encounter with the paparazzi while I was with my baby. Because of a recent incident when I was trapped in my car without my baby by a throng of paparazzi, I was terrified that this time the physically aggressive paparazzi would put both me and my baby in danger. I instinctively took measures to get my baby and me out of harm’s way, but the paparazzi continued to stalk us, and took photos of us which were sold to the media.
